Descrição do produto
MWDM 1311.5nm
MWDM (Medium Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is an optical communication technology designed to balance bandwidth, cost, and deployment complexity. Positioned between CWDM (20nm channel spacing) and DWDM (100GHz/50GHz spacing), MWDM typically uses 150GHz or 200GHz channel spacing, supporting 8-16 wavelengths across the C-band or C+L bands.
It leverages mature filtering technology to multiplex/demultiplex multiple data streams over a single optical fiber, enabling medium-bandwidth expansion (e.g., 10G/25G per channel) without the high cost of DWDM or the bandwidth limitations of CWDM. MWDM components (filters, modules, MUX/DEMUX) are engineered for easy integration with existing optical infrastructure, making them a practical choice for networks needing scalable bandwidth without overinvesting.
Key Features
Balanced Cost-Bandwidth Ratio: Bridges the gap between CWDM (coarse) and DWDM (dense) -- offers more wavelengths (8-16 channels) than CWDM while being more cost-effective than DWDM, ideal for medium-bandwidth demands.
Versatile Application Adaptability: Supports medium-haul distances (up to 120km) and works with standard single-mode fibers; compatible with 5G fronthaul/mid-haul, metro networks, and enterprise backbones.
Stable & Low-Maintenance Performance: Features low insertion loss (<0.8dB), high channel isolation (>25dB), and wide operating temperature range, ensuring consistent signal transmission with minimal maintenance.
Applications
5G Fronthaul & Mid-Haul Networks
Metro Area Networks (MANs)
Data Center Interconnections (DCI) for Medium Distances (30-120km)
Enterprise Backbone Networks (Campuses, Large Corporations)
Industrial Ethernet Networks (Manufacturing, Power Grids)
